Inspiration: Foraging

Have you ever foraged for edible wild plants? I love the idea of hiking through the woods with a pair of pruners and a basket to carry my finds home with me. Here are a few items to have on hand for a foraging nature walk.

This Market & Fruit Picking Pack for transporting wild things home.

Foraged Flavor by Tama Matsuoka Wong, a guide book for identifying plants and learning what to do with them.

A shawl in garden fig green for (what else?) looking good while you forage. It’s also helpful to wear one for shielding your neck and shoulders from bugs bites and UV rays.

Felco Pruning Shears.

Healing Salve for mending cuts, bug bites and burns.

Not shown: A sun hat and insect repellent are always good things to tote along on a nature walk.
