Apply glue to the edge of the wings and apply to the matching bird bodies.
Create a crease near the edge to make a 3-D fold. The wing should stick out. You can have fun here and play with different wing directions (see below). Repeat for the second bird.

Finalize the birds
Using a Japanese hole punch, make a hole for the eye of each dove. Also make a small hole toward the center top of the body and thread a thin ribbon through the hole. A fun variation is to make a small envelope and glue it to one of the bird’s beaks (refer to template); (see diagram below).

Finishing touches
Hang the doves on a garland, tree, or wreath (see below).

Additional ideas
- Use these as gift tags.
- Create an ornament garland.
- Create a paper wreath with these ornaments, and have each family member sign one. Put the holiday year in the center.
