Step 5: Use flowers or foliage with an airy look around the edges of the bouquet to soften its appearance. Seeded eucalyptus provides the soft edge here.

Step 6: Firmly tie the stems together near the base of the blooms. (Pellegrino used twine with built-in wire, which made this step a breeze.)

Step 7: Trim the ends of the stems evenly. If you’re putting the arrangement in a vase, measure the height of the vase before cutting. For hand-held bouquets, wrap stems with ribbon in a complementary colour.
