While lovely any time, this dramatic arrangement is festive enough for the holidays.

Tall amaryllis blooms and bunched boxwood branches are displayed simply in a contemporary vase with cut out sides—all the better to show off their stems; a few pine cones are tucked in for texture.
Chartreuse Cymbidium orchids, kept moist in florist’s picks, add a luxurious touch (you could substitute long-stemmed roses). Pebbles at the bottom of the vase complete the look.
