Vitamin C boost smoothie

Ward off rainy-day (or snowy) chills with this fruit and veggie-loaded smoothie.

Beta carotene-packed carrots take the nutrition and flavour spotlight in this smoothie. When paired with the zing of orange and the sweetness of mango, there’s plenty of immunity-boosting vitamin C and enough fibre to keep you satisfied until your next meal.

Serves 2


  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 2 navel oranges, peel and pith removed, cut into chunks
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup fresh carrot juice
  • 1 tbsp hulled hemp seed


Combine the ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth. Serve.

Per serving: 234 calories, 3 g total fat (0.5 g saturated fat), 51 g carbohydrates, 7 g fibre, 5 g protein, 3 mg cholesterol, 88 mg sodium.
