Brother-in-laws trumpet vine...cut down!!

when we cut ours down (it was ripping the brick off the front of the house)...i broke up with a vengeance through the neighbors driveway...then it shot up on the other side of the house in the alley...the roots must have gone right under my house over seventy feet to the other side...I kid you not. I researched on the computer and found out that they can send out runners underground over 100 feet from the original plant. If you are lucky it will be come the problem of the neighbor two doors down.
