Edmonton Spring ready to begin!

Almost 10 days ago, everything was getting ready to go and then we were nailed with a 5 day snow storm that this city has never seen before in April with temps as low as -11c. But now the mayday trees, poplars, silver maples, chokecherries and many other things are starting to slowly unfold as the temperatures rise. I am expecting by next week to actually start seeing some real good progress but its too bad everything was pushed back a week or more. Good thing everything seems to have survived it because they weren't leafed out yet!

I'm hoping my lilacs with the big fat buds didn't get frozen.
