Annuals behaving like perrenials

I believe they are creeping veronicas I should really go seeif i still have tag from them.
Ok here is something ot add might help.They are a dark green matt like plant that gets blue tiny flowers on them.Very pretty moves almost like a carpet .I have them around the borders of my ponds.

I found 2 that sound like yours....Veronica Prostata (hardy to Zone 2) and Veronica Waterperry Blue (hardy to Zone 4)

about two years ago I had geraniums that survived winter. I was really shocked about that as winters here are harsh and cold AND it was in a hanging basket at that. Then we moved so I have no idea what happened to it when the new people moved in. Can only assume they tore it up with the rest of the garden.

Hmm, does that mean I could bring a pot of snaps into the house and overwinter it like geraniums????
