I was wondering if anyone has grown this from seed. I have some started and are nearly ready to be set out. I am not sure how deep to plant them. Can I plant them up to there first leaves?

Linda ,I'm surprised nobody has answered your question. I have grown Amaranthus but always direct seed as they seem to do better for me that way.

As for how deep to plant, its reccomended to plant at the same depth as plants are growing . You could plant a couple deeper to see if it works.

Linda, They grow very easily by direct seeding in the Spring; in fact they self seed as well so depth of seeds isn't a major issue... Helen
