Has any one tried planting a hosta for an inside house plant or is it vital they rest during the winter??

they should rest like any other perennials (tulips, lily of the valley, etc.) but I've never tried

Hi BF,
I hang out at the hosta forum sometimes and according to those people, hostas definitely need a dormant period to survive. Apparently those in the deep south have difficulty growing certain hostas for that reason.
