I will live in hope and optimism!
My next-door-neighbour has one. She doesn't do anything special to it, just admires it each year. It's well protected though, as it is surrounded by other plants.

Odd. I thought I was in Zone 5, but it says 6a. Also, I think the view plants in your zone link is broken in general.
