Do cedar trees attract mosquito's????

Well we learn something all the time. I think it makes perfect sense that where we find cedars naturally ( and that is my case) we also find mosquitoes as they both like damp growing conditions. That is why I never plant cedars on our property; I remove them- ours look scrappy anyway. The less mosquitoes the better. But that takes into consideration the growing medium. And I would think in a city environment the growing medium is going to be considerably different.
