plant/weed id please

Hi everyone
I have 3 pictures of some weird little things growing in my garden. I've no idea what they are or where they came from. they have a "plant" look to me (could be I'm delusional), but if anyone can tell me whether it's a weed or not, I'd appreciate it. then I can either pamper it or stamp it out!

thanks in advance!

Disco, do you have any gooseneck loosestrife? That's what it looks like to me.

Gooseneck Loosestrife

Postby DMG » May 13, 2008 10:34 am

I can relate. I pulled out something which I wasnt sure what it was yesterday. looked kind of like a grass/daffodil type stalk growing in a bed with nothing else like it. However when I pulled it out it had 4 small bulbs at the base. Uh huh. Put it back in to see what it does. Honestly, we are sometimes gardening blindfolded. DMG

I looked on this site and didn't find that one on the seedling page. But it is a great site showing a lot of platns in their seed, and seedling stage.

thank you everyone.
It's indeed gooseneck loosestrife, has very pretty flowers. a colleague gave it to me last year, and I forgot it's supposed to reseed. Now i'm hoping everything else I had that's supposed to reseed will actually do it!

have a great long weekend of gardening!
