Planting Impatiens Deeper than Soil Line ????????

Postby bud1 » May 18, 2008 2:17 pm

I have home growen Impatiens that are 12'' tall and not planted yet. Has anybody planted Impatiens a few inches below the soil line and had success with no rotting at the new depth. I would like to do this for more support. Thank-you. Bud1

hmmmm no idea bud, I hope it'll work 'cause it'd anchor them nicely. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will post.

Hey Bud! I have many years ago. Don't over water them, just keep them moderately moist. They will shoot out roots under the soil line and bush out! Have fun! :)
