Japanese Anemone won't overwinter

Postby livilou » May 19, 2008 1:52 pm

For the last couple of years I have had to replace my Japanese Anemone's every spring. I buy all sizes and have them planted in various locations. I use triple mix soil and mulch with double grind mulch. They bloom beautifully in the fall but seem to die off every winter. I read everywhere that they are invasive...I could only wish! They are not in an overly wet areas. I am zone 6 in Halifax.

I am at a loss as to know what is wrong.

Thanks,
Sue
