Paulownia tree

Postby Thistle Garden » May 20, 2008 4:59 pm

Hello everyone,

I am considering planting a Paulownia tree AKA Empress Tree. The information I've gathered so far is very positive. It is a large and very fast growing tree but I have the room for it so this is not negative in my situation.

But...maybe this tree has some nasty habits that I have not yet found so if anyone out there has personal experience with this tree I would love to hear from you.

Thanks everyone. Thistle Garden

What a beautiful tree! I have never seen one before.....and I just might have to get one to replace the Maple in my backyard that a local landscaper BUTCHERED. I know my maple will eventually get nice again....in a few years....but that tree is much prettier!

I saw it in the Powell River garden tour and the owner really loved it. It was really beautiful.

Apparently it can become invasive....
