growing primula vulgaris

I have some primula seeds and will be planting them this weekend. I just wanted to know

can I grow these in pots? if yes..how big of pots and how many seeds in one container?

Will they do ok over winter in snow?

Any specific soil?

What's the best or basic way of growing these from seeds?
