Re: Bone hardy?
i have never heard that comment but I'm guessing that it would mean it is extremely hardy and difficult to kill.

Re: Bone hardy?
A quick google brings this term up in UK garden forums and UK garden articles. So must be a brit thing.
Example:

Seems to mean "freeze hardy". Or, "can take a freeze". But to what temperature?? No clue. Seems to be a general term.

Re: Bone hardy?
I never heard the expression bone hardy, apparently meaning winter-hardy, but then I wasn't into gardening in those years!
The expression bone tired of course is self-explanatory and is used not only in the UK but around the world - meaning tired throughout the body right to the bones! It's a good expression because it's so self-explanatory.
