What's Blooming Right Now: 4th Week of June

Calgary, hilly suburbs :)

This week is all about:

poppies! Both oriental poppies and California one popped opened late last week. Great show!

Early Scout peony
Per. Baby Breath
Snow in the Summer
Catmint (almost done)
Fleabane
Seidums
rainbow alliums
columbine
sweet rocket
oxitalis
bugles
violas

Also chives were blooming, so I made salsa with chive flowers. Super pretty! I think that would be the way to get my daughter (almost 6) to eat onions...

The coral bells (or heuchera)
The bearded iris' in the shade garden (sunny spots are all finished)(they grow bigger and better in the shade garden!)
clustered bell flower
the larkspur/delphiniums are just opening up
Oriental poppy
3 types of peonies (4th one, a white one, about to open)
hardy geranium
columbine (deer got the greenery, but left the flower stalks)
dianthus
old fashioned hardy roses
mock orange shrub
clematis is just about to open flowers!
