Thought I lost my Daylily's
My boyfriend's Mom gave me a bunch of Daylily's of different colors out of her garden when I started mine a few weeks back. I thought I lost them as the leaves were turning brown but they seem to have new growth as well. So happy as she doesn't give these away to just anyone, they are some of her favorites. I was worried for a while there that I would have to tell her that they died in the transfer but they're starting to look better again. Yay! lol

If you keep them well watered, give them a bit of food (lower nitrogen) before August, they should settle in just fine. Day lilies are quite sturdy, once they get themselves settled in.
Should be just fine by next year!

Also, snap of any scapes they try to form. It is hard, but the plant need all it's energy to form new roots. My order of 25 + daylilies got stuck in the Canada Post strike last year for 3 weeks and only lost one!

Yes, especially if they have had a hard time. You will be rewarded with stronger plants.
