Re: It's raining
Sigh.......woke up to clouds.....all day possible rain clouds.....
Turned out they were just "Hey! It's 9 AM! Let's blow this popsicle stand!" clouds.
Back to sunny. And Hot. With humidity.
Just did a wander of my gardens. I really have no hope for many of my plants flowering this year......Even my drought tolerant, rock garden plants are wilting/fading/drying up!
My grass is crispy, and my trees dropping leaves.
Have had a fire ban so long now that some critter has burrowed into the side of my fire pit! (interested to find out which critter!)
The veggies appear to be okay still.....they had been watered every other day pretty diligently until our water ban came into effect.....a couple more days though......
My daylilies OTOH have quite enjoyed this weather!!!

Re: It's raining
Yes it rained here too 40 minutes East of Ottawa.
Luckily with didn't get the hail, But we got very strong winds broke a branch on a crab apple tree some smaller branches off some maples.
The front neighbours also got branches broken off some trees.
It toppled over one of my gnomes and a watering can that I have flowers planted in.
At least it wasn't as bad as the Calabogie area some cottages damaged over there with big trees uprooted...

But we sure needed the rain, And could use more...
Hope the rest of you that need rain that it happens without the bad winds and all.

Re: It's raining
What is this rain you are all talking about? Haven't seen any in this part of the woods for a heck of a long time now except for a quickie that passed through yesterday for about an hour but that was it for practically the whole of July! Hopefully August will be better ... sigh!
