What is this flower??
Can anyone tell me one kind of flower this is? I don't remember planting these..

It's a sunflower. Probably randomly planted by somebirdy!

Them four-legged, bushy tailed gardeners plant them compulsively!

I have a full garden of these. I don't know where they are really coming from, but I replant them to their designated place and each summer/fall I harvest the seeds for the winter bird feeder. (the bird feeder is not anywhere near my garden)

Paul, they pop up everywher in our yard. Do you have squirrels around? they will carry the seeds away and so will some birds. They are easy to pull up so I don't mind them too much. Hubby is no longer allowed to feed millet or canola though!

Thanks for the help, there was a chipmunk seen a couple times by my garden and the next door neighbors have sunflowers.
