Please help me identify this plant! #1

Postby dulse » Jun 03, 2013 1:25 pm

Hello,

We recently moved into a 90-year-old home in Montreal. Both the front and back gardens are full of plants. I'm new to gardening and need some help identifying what we have.

The common name is flowering raspberry,it will have reddish flowers on it.It suckers but you can just cut them off or dig them out.It is a pretty plant,I had an awful time with powdery mildew on mine and finally removed it.

Thank you, Laura! I thought it might be a raspberry, but I wasn't sure. Is the fruit edible?
