Rust on apple trees

Rust on apple trees

I planted four apple trees this year which I bought from Home Depot. They have done very well but recently have developed what I believe to be cedar apple rust.

I pplied some fungicide which I hope will help

But I'm thinking look term: is this something that can be eradicated permanently? Does it pose a concern to my other plants - I have a lot of nice junipers

Any comments or thoughts.

I don't have any experience with apple trees, but there's a lot of information out there if you google it. Here was a site that I thought looked helpful:
