My work takes me to far northern Quebec occasionally, and many a time I have picked crowberries. The shrubs are ground-hugging, with the appearence of a greenish creeping juniper. The berries resemble blueberries but are smaller, with a "dry" taste.

I have always thought they are well worth cultivating if anyone gets the chance. But is it likely that this plant from Zone 0 would survive in Zone 5? And if so, is there anywhere down south (specifically SW Ontario!) where they can be bought?

The same goes for cloudberries - delicious little things like orange, bitter raspberries. I'd love to know if they can survive further south, and if anyone has managed it.
