Plants Yellowing .....

My father-in-law is having a problem with his potatoes,the plants are turning yellow.

I read that this is because of a lack of nitrogen.Is this true ? What can be done to help this?

I couldn't find a lot of info on this but this article say calcium and Nitrogen is the 2 most imortant nutrients needed to grow healthy postoes

Also potatoes is near being the perfect food on earth and we all need what is in them

So with all the reading on this yummy veggie in the past 30 min I would say, yes the soil is possibly lacking nitrogen

Laura,

Lack of nitrogen is a possibility, but, if the leaves are curled and/or puckered as well as yellow, I would check for an aphid infestation first.
