Re: zucchini
The only thing I could find it your have, end rot
Meaning too much water
They like to be planted on a mound to have good drainage
Cukes like water but zucchini doesn't
You most likely had a lot of rain this year as most did

Re: zucchini
Hi Zinnia,
I had the same issue and was told my zucchini was not getting pollinated. The zucchini flower which is attached to what looks like a small zucchini is in fact a female flower. The male flowers on the same plant just have the flower on a long stem. This is what you have to do: Put on your bee suit, take an opened male flower, take off the petals and then pollinate the female flowers by rubbing the them with the middle part of the male flower. I did this and I have to warn you..you will be eating zucchinis, freezing zucchini, preserving zucchini, baking with zucchini and giving it away to friends and family until the end of fall...
Good luck.
