Two clusters were picked today. The grapes are superb, and as good as any I have bought in stores over the years. The clusters are about half ripened. The Japanese beetle seldom attacks this grape as opposed to the other three types in my garden. This may be a coincidence.

Durgan,

Your Concord Grapes look absolutely wonderful. I have been toying with the idea of growing them in my garden. I noticed you have them out in the open, and not along a wall. Is that better for air circulation? How old are your vines? I'd like to know how many years I'd need to wait to get a decent amount of fruit to make into jelly.

Read this. Grapes take three years aand take little effort before production. Almost as easy as eating a Big Mac.
