A big Hello/Introduction and a list of my veggies =)
Re: A big Hello/Introduction and a list of my veggies =)
lol I buy my seeds every year. Final answer. :p
EDIT:
Just caught on that it was originally a hybrid you grew.
Now I admit I am garden clueless, but from what I have read hybrids don't normally grow true on the second year anyhow. So the odds were already stacked against you to begin with.
So it kind of makes sense that your hybrid didn't grow true the second year.
On the other hand (and I stress I'm pretty well clueless about these things), Adam has heirlooms I believe. These heirlooms should grow true the second year, and the odds are even favourable for the 3rd year.
So if heirlooms are not like hybrids, he has a great chance of success.
No?

Hey, don't look at me! I'm not the one who has to prove himself and earn seed points. It's Adam. ALL ADAM.
Not me.
LOL I'm not saying anything! I'm the new guy who's gonna lay low see~
Besides, I just noticed Kelly mentioned Huntsville and I cottage right near there so I don't wanna get ambushed while I'm snoozing on the beach this summer.
Cheers,
Adam

Heirlooms breed true generation to generation , but cross two heirlooms and their seed could produce something unlike either parent . That can be good or bad .. All pure strains , whether heirloom or not originally was a hybrid that had successive generations culled until the seed produced by self fertilization produced plants true to the parent .

Let's see if this works here ~ went into the shop to snap a pic of the 'grow-op'! There's a couple trays being re-organized on a bench not shown and a bunch of stuff spread around the house and outside in frames too. Overall, really impressed with my successes 1st time trying. I pretty much slapped the shelf together with salvaged lumber and offcuts, I didn't give any thought to looks just wanted to make sure it was sturdy and would do the job.

PS - pretend you don't see all the crap laying around under the shelf. I'll get to it eventually haha.

That looks a lot like the unit hubby built me a few years ago. Right now it is being used as storage for the DS and his wife and child until they FINALLY move out!
Kelly, I spent a week in Huntsville one afternoon. LOL! Guys sat in the CT parking lot changing the bearings in the tent trailer tires and I went walking with the SIL....

I see that!
It's like there are 2 Daves!
Goodie-two-shoes Dave and Evil Dave!
Seems Evil Dave has taken a vacation. Not even a little wise-crack...
That's it. Goodie-two-shoes Dave has impressed me and I'll be more like him for the rest of the weekend. Just to see if I can do it.
