Cabbage indoors.

Has anyone planted cabbage seeds indoors? i tried and failed this year so any tips, you have would be awesome.i forgot to add that i experimented on the bigger seedling, before they died with eggshell and teabags as fertilizer, was that bad an idea as i suspect it was.

I can't comment on the tea and eggs but cabbage is a cold weather crop and will do best outdoors.
