Artichokes?
Anyone grown any? My friend gave me 3 tiny seedlings left over from her own plantings. I live in Zone 3, with an 85 day frost-free season, and what I have read online is that these need a long, hot summer of 100 days or more - so I am thinking these may just be ornamental for me.
I do have the greenhouse, which is already quite full of tomatoes, cukes, peppers and eggplants and don't know that I have much room.
Suggestions?
Thanks,

Re: Artichokes?
You might try making a mini greenhouse over them in the fall.. just need some hoops that can be made from pvc pipe, or anything you can bend into a hoop to support the plastic above the plants and keep the early frosts off them.
You could even use some stakes and ropes to support a tent like cover for them .
