So Frustrating!

Well, it's taken me all day to get this far!
I have had to change my user name.
I haven't got as far as an Avatar yet!
I have written to CG and wondered 'out loud' why they were fixing something which didn't need fixing, i.e. 'If it ain't broke don't fix it'!
Who needs this aggravation? I will give it a bit of time. But I suspect we will be losing some much-loved members.

I have to agree this is so frustrating. The only why I seem to be able to log on at the moment was to post a reply to BBQ post.

I agree, there will be members who can't be bothered with the fiddling, or who simply do not know how to get back in, and if they do, will be so turned off by the new layout/ads and aggravating navigation, that they just won't bother with coming back.

I simply cannot find out how to make posts sort by thread, and show in the main forum from the last post time! ARGH!

And as for finding the USER CP, don't even get me started on that. It's not in the My Account where it should be. It's not ANYWHERE until you click your username in a post, then PM yourself. That's just plain silly.

This definately wasn't well thought out at all, IMO. It also wasn't prepped for sufficiently, IMO.

took me a few tries and I had to sign up again. I managed to get my old user name tho.

I guess it'll take a few days to iron out the bugs...most new set ups do.I think in time it'll be fine tho. Lets give the new format a chance before we decide we don't like it.

It would've been nice to be able to keep our profile set ups the same. I had a hard time getting my avatar set up the 1st time 'round.

there was a little note at the top of the page informing us that if we were existing users we would have to re-register.

It's good to know that it wasn't only me that had to re-register. The old sign in was with user name and password, the new requires e-amail and password. I tried every email address that i've used but couldn't get in.
