On the right side of the topic page where we see
the red x and View the latest post needs to be tweaked a bit. If the thread has more than one page it will only take me to the last post on page 1 instead of the very last post on the last page.
OR
Do I have something set wrong???????

This one's very important to me too, Alma.
Loading 4 or 5 pages to get to the last few posts can be an agonizing process on dial-up.

Re: View The Latest Post
Inge, being on dial-up myself I have found a few shortcuts that saves doing housework while things load.
I have through UCP, under board preference at edit display options changed to 1 day, if I want to see more I can, but usually I do try to check in once a day so that saves going thorugh a lot of rehash.
I do click latest post, and since this does take you to the bottom of page one - I then can chose the last of any page there. I can always work my way back if I wish.
I suppose one could change the order too from latest to first, I just changed that so off to see if it gets one last even last faster.
pssst - don't tell anyone, I don't want to be lynched - but I quite like the format of this new forum, once everything is working - it should be awesome....

Betty,
Thanks for the tips - I'll be changing my settings to see if that helps.
If you get lynched, then so will I. laf! It's already a faster forum for me than the last, and as you say, once the bugs are ironed out... I'll be as happy as a pig with a sun umbrella!

If you notice on the LEFT hand side, just above the title of the post, there's a little orange and black box. Hover your arrow on this box and it says something like "view first unread post" or something similar, click on this icon and Vuola it takes you to the newest post after the last one that you have read.Someone else posted this in another post and what a time-saver this is.
