Technically the font size on the old layout was smaller, however, I have increased the default font size slightly (the font size you are reading now), AND I have added in the font size changer up beside the search box. You can use the up/down arrows to increase/decrease the default font size.

I was hoping to see "previous topic/next topic: added but I guess that is not to be, that is the one feature I missed.
I do prefer the jump menu at the top vs the bottom of the page but that may just be a learning curve from using it at the top for the last 6 months.

I agree with Betty wrt the "jump to" menu. If we have the most recent topic at the top, we may not wish to, or need to, go to the bottom of the page.
I also wish the "preview", & "submit" buttons were a bit more distinct in their "response mode"
