Uploading an Avatar

I have been trying to upload an Avatar. When I save it, it says it was successful. But it does not show. I perhaps need a refresher on how to do this. I was trying to upload from my photobucket. Any step by step guidelines one could follow?

I have yet to use PB to upload an avatar pic here...I have found it quite easy just Browse and find a pic....just make sure .jpg is in lowercace letters.

Where do you find .jpg?

when you go to edit my profile, go to Browse, then go to wherever you have your pictures stored, pic the pic you want, but then you will have to go into where the file has been put in and go to the end...most pics are either jpegs or gif files...if your's are jpegs, at the end of the file name will be .JPG or .jpg. just make sure it is in lowercase letters. The forum will automatically re-size the file for you.

I guess I am not finding the right pic file, because I see nothing about .jpeg. Thanks for trying to help Kelly. Just call me Dumbo

Why don't you go to the file and C&P it here so we can see what the file name says...


edit...is this your file name for the pic???

you have .jpg at the end and it is in lowercase so you are good...just go into where you upload your avatar and put the file name in then press save....

We'll get your pic, someway somehow!!

Linda, how big is the picture (pixel size) in your original file? it might be very small to start with.
Can you post it to the thread here and I'll see if I can do something with it for you.

C&P that file name, and go to Edit my profile and put it in the space...see what happens...

i see the file name is Summer 2008 012.jpg

You can always just type that in, exactly as it shows.
