Need HELP with photos

I am having trouble uploading photos. Always comes back with size is too large, should be 2MG. I have posted pics before but now seems to be a problem. I am not too tech savvy, please help.

How big is the image you're attempting to upload?

I have found that there seems to be a maximum number of pixels of width. Try reducing the pixels to about 1600 in the horizontal. Also, make sure your photos are .jpg (lower case). For whatever reason .JPG does not work.
