I have given up ever having the avatar work for me.

If you've tried to load one and it says you were successful, use the refresh button up beside the browser bar and see if that works. If it doesn't contact me by PM and I'll see if I can get one working for you.

Remember to use the extension .jpg (lowercase) rather than .JPG (uppercase). Yes, it makes a difference.
Also, make sure the FILE SIZE is small enough. Not just the image size, but the FILE SIZE.
Try holding down the SHIFT key while clicking the aforementioned "refresh" or "reload" button.
