where for art thou avatar

This little problem might seem miniscule compared to the other problems encountered on this site of late, but why does my avatar vanish after being put on for only a few days? I gave up a few weeks ago, after loading my avatar 3x in a 7 day period. Next morning it would be gone again. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem? ???? Or am I doing something wrong?

I have had this problem too .... don't recall how many times but replaced it at least two times in the last few weeks .... it's not just you .... gremlins ...

Same issues here, Dan.

Just gave up for a while, then, got a new pic of my granddaughter in the pumpkin patch, so, decided to try again, et, voila,,it worked,,for now! Still lots of gremlins on the site, though, so, have no expectations it will stay put!

Sometimes it just goes poof! I don't bother for a couple of days and then put a new one up - and wonder how long it will last!

Mine is missing too...oh...wait....that's my main acct I still can't use!

All I know is once in a while some people's avatar goes missing....why??? Search me. If I knew that I'd have myself a high paying techie job somewheres...

Help, mine's gone too! Do we have a lost and found for missing avatars? Or do we post MIA posters? Do we start posting them on milk cartons? Or do we hang "Have you seen this avatar" posters on power poles? Oh dear me, what oh what do we do?
