my hibiscus is doing great now...thanks Dan for the info.
and my orchid is blooming after 2 years of just sitting there..
now what do I do to keep it healthy and happy and wanting to bloom again?

They both look healthy and well taken care of. One word of advice, when the orchid stops blooming, dont break off the flower stem, sometimes new buds and plants form along them. The plants that form are called keikas (might be spelled wrong) and when they develop enough roots, they can then be dislodged and planted up. Some mature orchid plants (called specimen) can sometimes have 200-500 flowering stems, and most of them years of age.

thanks for the info Dan.I'll leave the stem on this time. I did cut the original off when it was done it's bloom thinking basic thought 'deadhead make new flower'

thanks patty. came home from work late last night after a very long day at work and on the table sat 2 more orchids DH had bought me!for no reason except 'just because' he said.

I wish I could grow them but I kill then within 5-6 weeks of getting one
