No BF...seed is like sand though. They were sprouting up again in the fall from dropping seed over the Summer. They like warm soil to germinate usually. They germinate quickly. I started some in the house last spring, but you really don't need to. :D

Mine were about that last summer but the year before they were over 5 feet. I had one stalk that had 15 flowers on it, and as you know, they cluster at the top. I had to get on a stepladder to take a photo of that bouquet. :o I would say that 5 feet is unusual. It must have been a good year.

I just love that Allium Liz! I have always wanted some of those. I look in the seed catalogues and they are so expensive, so I just dream :D

I see the soup is brewing again. Thank goodness. What a wonderful way to lead us into spring...and remind us what to plant!

Sorry I've had such a long hiatus...it's good to be back!

I love Allium, I wish they bloomed longer. The Armeria is very nice. Is that commonly called pink thrifts? I noticed the Amarone right off the hop Kelly!
Dan - nice roses. Abraham Darby is a beauty. Unfortunately it's not hardy to my zone
