Thanks for the warm welcome Eeyore and bluebird. It's good to be back. I loved the soup so much last year...got me through a lot of blistery days. I knew I had to be a part of it again this year.

BBQ...do you happen to know what variety of Ajuga you have there? My "Burgandy Glow" has been in for two years now and looks nothing like yours! I guess it is planted in the shade though whereas yours appears to be getting plenty of light. It figures!

Koot....can't wait to see apple blossoms (and bees) again!

Seems everyone has the double dark purple Aquilegia...I do too, but I have no pics of it!

I see I have to rethink Ajuga.
Ginseng - I didn't know Allium dried that well, amazing!
Brian - you got it.
Koot - I'll have to see you flowers tonight, for whatever reason they don't show up on my work computer.

Sorry I can't help with the name of the deep purply one Scrapinthehat! I did have a tag but it diskappeared!
The actual colour of it is even deeper than the pic - it's almost black!
And, yes, it gets sun until late afternoon.

Here is my Allium. I bought 3 of them. They are
now 4 years old.Every year they have more plants
are have been completely problem free. They were
expensive, $10.00 each, but Ifeel they have been
well worth the $$$.

Can I add in my all-heal? Or is it the latin name which must begin with 'A'? These grow wild here, and are quite small.

Melroche, when you say you started your Butterfly Weed from seed, did you plant the whole pod, or dried the pod for the seed inside? I would love more of this in my gardens. I have one mature 4 year old plant right now. Any advice Mel :D
