Very nice Penstemon Savona! I love the white eye on it.

Kelly...my thoughts exactly....any of those options would be great. Or plant ground-huggers that would help hold the soil in place. I'm always in favor of digging out grass though so my opinion is definitely biassed.

I rip out grass, make gardens larger, when my husband isn't around!

Laughing that that one Blossom.
Just a couple of days ago I mentioned that we really should be making some of the gardens a little larger to accommodate all the "must haves" generated by the soup, and that the only way we could do this would be by taking out more grass! I got "the look", but I pretended not to notice. I may have to get my daughter and/or son to come over when their Dad is out of the house and we could get it done lickety split, and he probably wouldn't even notice!

Thats when I do the tree and shrub pruning.... Otherwise he just tells me I'm cutting too much or shouldn't be cutting at all...

Betty I got the esprit penstemon seeds from Park's last year.It was a package of mixed colours and I had pink and lavender ones too. While cleaning up my photo files I accidently deleted some of my garden pictures so dont have any pictures to show. I took this picture of the red one in the green house before planting it out..savona
