Btw, was out today looking at my mini garden, and day-dreaming about yours!

Smitty- are the first two BOTH poppie varieties, I had poppies in the front two years ago and I loved them, so did my neighbors so I gave them all seeds and last year I "got back" some seeds,
But I never knew they came in any other color than red, wow,
going to google poppies to see what other colors, stunning flowers peoples, I love this thread.

Yes, most of the photos are from the summer before. I think Calliesmum might have been referring to Liz's comment about checking out her little garden....
The Ozark Sundrop is not a poppy, also known as Evening Primrose, proper name is Oenothera macrocarpa. It spreads quite readily.

The Kootenay contingent is present and accounted for! WELCOME Calliesmom!
Here is at least one O. This first one is Oplopanax horridum (Devils'club). Not quite in my yard yet, but Im hoping to try and get seed this fall.

my dark pink Oriental poppies

Mock Orange... No where near as nice a photo as the one with the beautiful God-daughter, on her Grad day, GORGEOUS that one. Is it the same species?? It looks like it, Philadelphus lewisii?? Tthis has heavenly scent, is long blooming and a native plant to boot.
