Spring pictures taken today
Perhaps Clematis do better after a few years. This one has been in the ground since '06 and has never been this advanced on May 1st. It has buds already!
This is the best year for these Fritillary.
The same can be said for these Grape Hyacinth.
Gosh, I must be doing something right.

Great photos Joan. You must be doing something right! Nice looking Clemmie. What type is it?

You must be doing everything right as they look so healthy and beautiful. My clemmies are just starting to leaf out.

Thank you. The Clematis is 'Toronto'. I just planted a mate for it today called Crystal Fountain which has purple in it and should go well with Toronto's pink/

Very enjoyable! I love the fritillara! How old are they?
and what it the pretty porcelain thing in the grape hyacinth bed? I love to add crockery, slightly broken pottery bits, even china, to garden beds.

The fritillara have been there for 4 years.
That ‘pretty porcelain thing’ is a small garden spade that my daughter gave me.
I like to add ornaments to the beds also.
