Posting at 9:24 p.m. on the 9th, so you early eastern birds will have something to do whilst I catch up on my sleep in the early morning.
I'm looking forward to seeing lots of gorgeous flowers...so place your alphaBETS, Ladies and Gentlemen!
Here's my Lily, a Martagon, "Henry L."

The above Lilies thrive with early morning sun and dappled shade all afternoon.
Early June, 2011. Our backyard lawn with a wall of Lilacs screening us from the Georgian Trail; a walking/biking trail.

I always enjoy your bird among the flower pictures, Laura.
What kind of plant is Lemon Fluff, Clara?
Well, for L it's lilies, of course! But I have nothing like Dan's massive collection! Here's a couple of mine.

China Lily
And for something different, Lantana

Lemon Fluff is a "Centaurea" Perennial with interesting buds like a cone before the flowers open.

Good just turned afternoon, all...I am awake and aware, mostly. I have asked the mods to see if they can move this post to where it should be.

Neng...I think you have me convinced...I need a Landini lily...it is SO striking!
Dan...you live in Lily Heaven...pls sir can I come and live there?
Big Smile...your Lacy Doily lily...how I love the doubles...just beautiful.
Cdn Chelsea...a WALL of Lilacs? I can't imagine anything better...and move over, Chelsea,Tink and Oliver, make room for me.
Northpine, how very delicate and elegant are your China Lilies.
A wonderful start to the L's...you folks have set the tone!
