ALPHABET SOUP..... N
Hokay...Now is the time for N! (Its NOT YET the 16th technically, but by the time I get her tomorrow it will be past Noon and a half in NewFoundLand).
I am SO LOOKING FORWARD to everyones N posts.
I think I have 2 N's...
I usually post an annual photo of the Nootka Rose, which is so covered in blooms in my native plant garden down by the river all of June and into July and never needs to have a darn thing done to it.
And this was Narcissus White Lion, a new bulb last spring....hope to see it again soon, here.

Re: ALPHABET SOUP..... N
I seem to be pretty early today, so will post the few N's from here.
A Narcissus slideshow, which should have some additions if Photobucket lets me edit.

Nepeta faessinii(a fairly low catmint)

Nectaroscordum siculum( a late blooming bulb, formerly an Allium)

Oh my! What beautiful N's. Dontcha love the wild roses? They have such a gentle scent and gorgeous hips at the end of the season. White lion is amazing!
Sharon, how many narcissii do you have? That is quite a collection, do they bloom in succession? The yellow with the muscari is gorgeous. Reminder to self.... Get muscari and more narcissi bulbs next fall....
Love in a mist..... sigh..... I keep saying I'm going to get some and I never do. Is it annual or perennial?
Two N's for the pot and surprise, surprise! One is NOT a lily!
I had to have this one as Nettie was what my sister called me before she could say my name.

Lyn...the muscari get planted all over whenever possible. They are great to plant on top of others, sort of a living marker.
We have them in bloom for a long time....6 weeks or more.
We have a lot of narcissus, but sadly have lost some to the narcissus bulb fly in the last few years. I really like the petite ones.
I think I will sneak in a pic of 'Mary Bohannan', planted in our gulley ext. bed. Quite a bold one!
Cheers

Re: ALPHABET SOUP..... N
This is the only N from last year. Quite sad, as the I've got about 40 pics of Nymphaea from the year before.

Re: ALPHABET SOUP..... N
For every letter of the Soup, I add at least 2 plants to the wish list...guess I had better get planning some new beds again!
Here are my "N's" My new front flower bed is finally complete. Planted about 1/2 the plants last fall. Need the room for the daylilies arriving in May/June.
The Niobe clematis was planted 2011 and I am excited to see how it does this year.
And finally, a "Neal Berrey" daylily to complete the post.
