Have to laugh at Lily names comment...found myself at favourite Pet Supplies/Plant supplies outlet and caught me choosing lilies by NAME, instead of by colour or type. Said, "enough of this foolishness...but couldn't stop myself from buying an Iris Germanica "Foreign Legion" which is SO beautiful...black bottom, bright yellow top, and red shoulder flashes. Talk about destroying the colour scheme in my garden (there's a colour scheme?)

Spring flower beds in blossom, covered with huge blue tarps as roofers work in bright sunshine. Enough noise on the roof, can't vacuum, Lily-the-dog is stressed enough by roof noises...and at 3 C, it's too chilly to scrub the porches with arthritic paws. Guess I will just have to go and read.
