Love that Dahlia, gorgeous. So many S's to choose from, I decided for my 3 I would go with Sempervivum
Sneezeweed one of my favourite fall flowers
and for something a little different Stuart's Desert Pea

Not a huge selection of S's here.
Sedum....splayed in typical fashion
Scilla siberica, making their blue spring carpet..(click for larger image)
Spirea 'Snowmound'....snow in July!
Betty...is Stuart's Desert Pea an annual? Quite striking.

I don't mean to be rude Lyn...but yes it is!! Have never gotten a wrong order from Lilynook ever. Searched the net too and tho varying photos the majority have the recurved petals and spots like her..could be because she sits in a bit of shade that makes her look more beige in color.
your San Sorbet and Strawberries and Cram...beauties!!! Is always room for one or two more liles right?
Karen..Spartacus is gorgeous and a garden wouldn't be complete without a Stella or two IMHO
Betty ..beauties as always but that Dessert Pea..WOW!!!
Sharon....your carpet of scilla always makes me smile

Three more for the soup
Sweet pea.....unfortunately very weedy. They self-seed like crazy, so they have been banished to the scrap gardens
Saxifraga........one of the nicest plants for the rock gardens
Scotch Bluebell.........these little beauties are tucked everywhere here

Yes it is an annual, apparently one can over winter inside but it just shrivelled up and died on me by December. I didn't see the seeds offered again this year from my source. It grows in Australia and treated as a weed I believe.
Isn't it a lovely day today, I just may get most of the garden cleaned off. Although it is this time of year I kick myself for having so much ornamental grass.

Re: Alphabet Soup 'S'
It looks like I am making up for my lack of daylilies on the previous few letters!!
An oldie but a goodie...Summer Wine
Strawberry Candy won the Stout Medal and it is an amazing plant! I had 15 flower scapes this year on a plant I planted in 2009.
And last is "Sabine Baur". A delicate flower that fades by mid afternoon but it is beautiful in the morning.
