Added to Wish List, Puff! Shade in garden increases annually.
A musician could dedicate a grand opus to your fabulous tree, CdnChelsea. ;o}

Two Vs and two Ws and some fudging required for 2 Us, I reckon. 8)

VERONICA.1.JPG
Our VERONICA didn't grow in a tidy clump but I like them any way they grow.

VINE O'GOURD.JPG
Greatest disappointment of 2011 was the usually prolific
Birdhouse Gourd, tweaked here to VINERY O'GOURD.

WEED OF JOE.jpg
A favourite WEED known as Joe Pye didn't fare well in the overheated Summer.

WATER FEATURE.1.JPG
Shady corner of backyard, the WATER FEATURE is called Babbling Brook
(like thousands of others, no doubt) tho' that day the brook was burbling.
The white quartz rock was harvested from Bustard Islands, Georgian Bay,
circa 1992. Will always feel a pang of guilt over the greedy pillaging.

Lovely rock wall Betty!

Abby, your Weigelea and Japanese Willow are marvelous!

MareE, that is one honkin big gourd vine!

Yes indeedy do, Winnipeggy is the correct name for that Lily and I do believe Smitty has some. I sent some to her or K last fall, can't remember which one though.
That purty daylily DOES look like peach sherbert or a peach that is perfect for eating when they get that red tinge around the pit.

Love the raised veggie beds! That is project number one this year .

Sad to see the soup getting full but happy that it means Gardening Season is HERE!! I also have one "V" and 3 "W's" to add.

My first is a Versicolour Iris
Versicolor Iris.jpg

This was the first year for Daylily "Watership Down" and again I can't wait till this clumps!
Watership Down.jpg

This is Daylily " Wedding Band", the last daylily I have for the soup. Another Stout Medal winner
Wedding Band.jpg

And my "Wasp Nest". Yellow jackets to be precise. Actually stuck my head up under this shrub to trim dead wood and got a nasty surprise. Was a very bad year for wasps
