Well, I guess we live and learn, eh? Some plants do wonderfully well with benign neglect after being planted in terrible soil. As you demonstrated, wisteria is one; trumpet vine (Campsis radicans) is another.

Sorry to take so long answering your question Heidi, my computer died and we finally went and got a new one. I dont live in Savona B.C., Savona is my Morgan mares name. I am not far from you, I live in Vanderhoof. Jean
